How to remove duckweed in lotus field
1. Manual salvage: Before the emergence of lotus seedlings or just when they are unearthed, the lotus field is closed to a depth of more than 5 cm, and the thick straw rope (3-4 cm thick) twisted manually is used, and the length is subject to the width of the field. Two people stood on the ridge of the field, gathered the duckweed to one end by pulling the net and squeezed it as close as possible. Then, fix the straw rope and choose duckweed on a sunny morning.

2. Stocking fish: stocking grass carp, bream, carp, crucian carp, tilapia and other fish that can eat duckweed in the lotus field, and using them to remove duckweed.

3. Drain the duckweed in water, drain all the water in the field, and then add new water with basically the same temperature. You can do it several times to let the duckweed and the old water drain out of the lotus field.

4. Chemical weeding can be tried in two ways. First, 250g of copper sulfate and 250g of quicklime are mixed with 50kg of water to make Bordeaux mixture for spraying and killing. Secondly, 20% paraquat 100 ml, ammonium bicarbonate 100 g and water 15 kg were all sprayed in the field with or without water, and the killing effect was very good. However, this method is generally only suitable for use before lotus root seedlings come out of the water. Purple lotus, sitting in perennial root field, has many lotus buds and high density, and can also be used when 10% ~ 20% seedlings emerge.
