Monet (1840- 1926) is the initiator, leader and unswerving advocate of the impressionist painting movement.
After Monet exhibited Impression: Sunrise in 1874, critics commented on the movement with the title of "Impressionist Art Exhibition" in the newspaper, hence the name. In 1888, critic Feifei Nain wrote: "Impressionism was created for him, and this term is more suitable for him than anyone else."
When Monet was 5 years old, his family moved to San Andres near le havre. /kloc-When he was 0/5 years old, he learned painting from a local artist. His artistic career began with his acquaintance with E- Budan, and he began to paint outdoors. During his first visit to Paris in 1859- 1860, barbizon painters Dubbini and Thai Huaron deeply influenced him. 187 2 or so, he became interested in Japanese printmaking, and its decoration and flatness had a great influence on modern French painting.
1865- 1870 is Monet's early creation. Before that, he had begun to paint with impressionist brushstrokes, such as Picnic (1865-1866) and Balcony of San Andreas. Monet's creative purpose is mainly to explore the way to express nature, to record the instant feelings and impressions, and to see the East and the West full of vitality and movement. Regardless of the weight and volume of an object, he draws it into a flat color pattern. 1868, together with Renoir and Brival, created the first batch of impressionist works, depicting the light, movement and instant feelings outside the room with strong broken pens.
In the early 1970s, he went to London, painted canals, boats and windmills in Holland, and painted Impression: Sunrise in le havre. After returning to China, he lived in Argenteuil, which was also the peak of the impressionist movement. The works created by Monet, Renoir, Sisley and pissarro during the period of 1872- 1875 are the most attractive works of impressionism. Monet lived in giverny from 65438 to 0883 until his death. After the 1990s, he concentrated on completing Poplar (1890- 189 1), Haystack (1889- 1893) and Sunset in Rouen Cathedral (.
1890, Monet transformed giverny into a water lily garden, where he painted water lily series for 20 years. Later, it developed into a circular mural of 1925, which was placed in two 80-foot-long oval halls of Riolland Palace and exhibited to the public on 197 1. In his later years, he continued to explore nature regardless of eye diseases until/kloc-0 died in 926.
His main works are: Balcony of Santandrea (1866, collected by the Metropolitan Museum of Art), Women in the Garden (1866- 1 867, collected by the Louvre Museum) and River (1868, collected by art institute of chicago). Mamotan Museum in Paris), Saint-Lachal Railway Station in Paris (1877, Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University), Haystack (189 1, Art College, University of Chicago) and? French post-impressionist painter Paul Cézanne
Paul Cézanne was born in 1839. Father is a banker. He is stubborn, violent, moody and often indulges in hallucinations. He studied painting against his parents' wishes, and he wanted to "make impressionism have the eternal and lasting nature of works in art museums". This shows his interest in nature and eternal structure, and it is color that can grasp this eternal structure. Cezanne spent his whole life trying to express his artistic thoughts with pigments. He is a painter among painters and a revolutionary of painting itself. He knows the world with color and is full of dreams about the world.
In the pastoral poem written by 1870, he described not the objective nature, but the dreamy scene immersed in love songs. Cezanne got rid of "realism" with his passionate fantasy in his early days.
His "binge drinking", written in 1875, more directly depicts the physical struggle with indulgent brushstrokes.
Cezanne is not an ordinary painter. He created nature with color. His significance and value lies in that he is the mentor of painting in the 20th century.
1906 10 year1October 22nd, Paul Cézanne, the most outstanding master of French post-impressionist painters, passed away.
