The correct way to dry daylily is to dry it in the sun and dry it.
1. Sun drying
First, put the bamboo curtain, bamboo mat or drying tray on a shelf about 3 cm -6 cm above the ground, and then spread the treated flower buds on it, with a thickness of 2 cm -3 cm, and turn them over every 2 hours -3 hours. Exposure during the day, put away at night, covered with moisture. After about 2-3 days, it can be dried.
Wait until the water content of the day lily drops to 15%-18%, and it will not be brittle when it is pinched by hand, and then it will naturally spread out after letting go, and it will not stick to each other. When the sky is overcast and cannot be dried, it can be steamed with 5‰ sulfur to avoid mildew.
2. Drying
Every square meter of drying plate can hold about 5 kilograms of blanched daylily. At the initial stage of drying, the water content of daylily is high, so the drying room should be heated to 8℃-85℃ before the daylily is sent in.
At this time, the temperature of the drying room drops due to a large amount of heat absorption of raw materials. When the temperature drops to 6℃-65℃, it will be kept for 12 hours -15 hours, and then it will be gradually lowered to 5℃ until the end of drying. In order to prevent the day lily from sticking and coking, the drying tray should be changed in time, generally for 2-3 times, once every 5 -6 hours, so as to make its drying degree consistent.
Growth habit of day lily:
Day lily is cold-resistant, drought-resistant and semi-cloudy; The requirements for soil are not strict, and it can grow in geography or hillside. Sandy soil, clay, plain and mountainous areas can be planted, but red and yellow soil is the best, so it is not too wet or accumulated. Daylily has a wide range of adaptation to light. The aboveground part of day lily is not cold-resistant, and the underground part is resistant to -1℃ low temperature.
the optimum temperature for leaf growth is 15-2℃, and the flowering period requires a higher temperature, and 2-25℃ is more suitable. The flowers of all varieties of this species bloom at 2-8 pm, wither before 11: the next day and fall off in 2-3 days. Generally, it will bloom earlier and wither later on cloudy days, and different varieties will also change.
