Some patients have small blisters on the localized skin of acupuncture points after moxibustion, usually caused by too high a temperature or too long a time of moxibustion. This problem should be viewed from two perspectives.1. If the blisters are intentional, this is a type of moxibustion called foaming moxibustion. This is a type of moxibustion called keloidal moxibustion because it usually leaves a scar on the skin after foaming.
