First of all, my dad helped me to collect materials and methods about making sushi through the Internet. Mom helped me go to the supermarket to buy materials for making sushi, including seaweed, ham, cucumber, meat floss and seaweed rolls. With these materials, we followed the online instructions and did it.
The first step was to add salt, sugar and vinegar to the boiled rice in a certain proportion and then mix them well. I used a knife to cut the cucumber and ham into thin strips, ready for use. Dad cooked a round and thin egg pancake, then cut it into thin shreds, and all preparations were made.
The second step was to put the seaweed on the sushi roll, spread the rice evenly over the seaweed, then put the egg pancake on top of the rice, sprinkle the meat floss evenly on top, and finally put the chopped ham and cucumber strips neatly on one side of the seaweed roll.
The third step is to take one side of the sushi roll and roll it forward, roll it all the way up and then hold it firmly in your hand to make it more solid, then open the roll and a long piece of sushi is ready. To make it easier to eat, use a knife to cut it into pieces, so that the sushi is completely done.
As soon as the sushi was ready, we couldn't wait to taste it, and it tasted delicious and sweet. Then we made three more rolls in the same way until everyone was satisfied.
With the help of my mom and dad, I was able to make sushi for the first time, and I was so happy to eat the sushi I made with my own hands, it was so sweet, and I realized the joy of labor.
