The land of plenty is the nickname of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River plain and the Pearl River Delta plain.
The original meaning of "Land of Fish and Rice" refers to a fertile place rich in fish and rice. Due to the abundant rainfall caused by the summer monsoon, eastern my country has a humid climate and rich products, so it is called "Land of Fish and Rice".
The land of plenty refers to the plains of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River Delta plains. The main cities are Changsha, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Anhui and other places. These places are also the main producing areas of freshwater fish. The terrain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River is relatively low and there are many lakes. Such conditions are also very suitable for the growth of fish.
Topography
The notable features of the terrain are low and flat terrain, crisscrossing rivers and lakes. The average altitude is 5 to 100 meters, but most of the altitude is below 50 meters. The central and coastal areas along the river are flood plains and coastal plains. The terrain of the Hanjiang Delta also tilts slightly from northwest to southeast, and lakes are clustered on the southeast front. Most of the Dongting Lake Plain is below 50 meters above sea level, with the terrain high in the north and low in the south.
The Poyang Lake Plain is low and flat, most of it is below 50 meters above sea level. It has a dense water network and is covered with red soil and river alluvial deposits. To the north of the delta is the Lixiahe Plain. The plain is a dish-shaped depression with high, medium and low circumference. The northern edge of the depression is the old course of the Yellow River; the southern edge is the north bank of the Yangtze River in the delta; the western edge is Hongze Lake and the Yunxi Levee; and the eastern edge is the Northern Jiangsu Coastal Plain.
