The Turkish Women's Volleyball Team is a powerful team in the European Women's Volleyball Team. It was established in 1958 and participated in the European Women's Volleyball Championship for the first time in 1963, ranking 10th. After that, the Turkish women's volleyball team participated in the European Championships in 1967, 1981, 1989 and 1995, achieving two 12th places and two 11th places.

The Turkish women's volleyball team made a splash in 2003, eventually finishing second and qualifying for the World Cup for the first time. On June 12, 2019, in the 2019 World Women's Volleyball League held in Jiangmen, Guangdong, the Chinese women's volleyball team defeated the Turkish team 3-0.

In 2021, the Turkish women's volleyball team reached the quarterfinals of the Tokyo Olympics women's volleyball competition, setting the best Olympic record in team history; and won third place in the European Women's Volleyball Championship.

On June 20, 2022, Turkey ranked 4th in the women's volleyball world rankings.
