The "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste" applies

The revised "Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste" will apply from September 1, 2020 Implementation.

Article 68, paragraph 2, of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste stipulates that producers and operators should comply with mandatory standards that restrict excessive packaging of commodities and avoid excessive packaging. The market supervision and administration departments and relevant departments of local people's governments at or above the county level shall strengthen the supervision and management of excessive packaging in accordance with their respective responsibilities. How to punish excessive packaging

Excessive packaging can be dealt with according to Article 20 of the Standardization Law. Deal with it in accordance with the law. If there are no provisions in laws and administrative regulations, the industrial and commercial administrative department shall confiscate the products and illegal income and impose a fine; if serious consequences constitute a crime, the directly responsible persons shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law" and the Implementation of the Standardization Law Paragraph 2 of Article 33 of the Regulations “Anyone who sells goods that do not meet the mandatory standards shall be ordered to stop selling, the sold goods shall be recovered within a time limit, destroyed under supervision or necessary technical treatment shall be carried out; illegal gains shall be confiscated; and penalties shall be imposed A fine of 10% to 20% of the value of the goods shall be imposed; the relevant responsible persons shall be fined not more than 5,000 yuan.”
