Wang Yucheng, Lang Ping's nationality has always been Chinese.

In 1987, Lang Ping's union with former Bayi men's volleyball player Bai Fan. The two held a grand wedding at the Beijing Hotel at the time, after which Lang Ping went to study in the U.S. and gave birth to her beloved daughter, Bai Langlang.In 1995, Lang Ping and Bai Fan divorced in the U.S., with each of them sharing half of the custody according to local law. On January 16, 2016, Lang Ping and Wang Yucheng, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, held their wedding in Beijing.

Lang Ping did not choose to enter the officialdom after her retirement like other teammates, she even had the opportunity to serve as the deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Sports Commission at that time, but Lang Ping chose to refuse, and resolutely went to the United States to study, and also had a daughter, Bai Lang, in the United States in 1992, and in 2005, she served as the United States head coach of the women's volleyball team.

On the morning of November 10, 2017, the China Volleyball Academy was inaugurated at the Tuanbo Campus of Tianjin Sports Institute. Lang Ping, vice chairman of the Chinese Volleyball Association and head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, became president of the Chinese Volleyball Academy.
