Homemade pumpkin pie (hollow)
I have seen some examples of failure on the Internet before. Either the pumpkin pie has no hollow in the middle, or it is easy to not shape when fried. After summing up the experience I made it successfully, and I’m sharing it with you all!

Pumpkin gram
Glutinous rice flour
White sugar gram

How to make homemade pumpkin cake (hollow)
Cut into pieces and steam in a pot. The pumpkins I use here look like Halloween ones, not the long ones. This kind of pumpkin has less water, so you don’t have to worry about a lot of water when steaming. If you are worried about moisture, you can put it in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap to prevent moisture from gathering.
After steaming, use a rolling pin or other tools to crush the pumpkin. While it is still warm, add sugar and mix well, then add 2 grams of yeast powder.
Add glutinous rice flour, remember to add it in batches. Generally, pumpkin absorbs flour, but if you add too much at one time, it will be very dry. It won't be easy to handle if it's dry.
Knead until it is not too sticky and leave it to ferment for two hours. After that, some small lines will appear on the surface and it is ready to be made.
Divide the dough into small and large pieces, knead it into balls, and press it into a cake shape. If the surface is not wet enough, you can dip it in some water, then dip it in bread crumbs and press it down to prevent the bread crumbs from falling off during frying. Come down. Let it sit for ten minutes and then start frying.
After the oil temperature reaches the sixth level, start placing the cake. Do not flip it at the beginning, so that the bread crumbs stick to the top and fry into shape. Just flip it over later.
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it changes from the original flat shape to a hemispheric shape with a hollow center. It is delicious, but be careful to burn your mouth~
Tips
Don’t give less sugar just because pumpkin is sweet. If you like sweet food, be careful to add enough sugar, because adding glutinous rice flour will reduce the sweetness. You still need to add a little more oil when frying, otherwise the bread will taste greasy after absorbing the oil.
