step
1. Wash with water and remove pedicles.
2. Cut a circle around the waist and twist it in the opposite direction, so the seeds can be easily removed.
3. Pour the processed hawthorn into the pot, add 500g of water, and boil it on low heat for 15 minutes. You can also cook with an electric cooker, which can prevent the dry cooker from being left unattended and save trouble.
There is only a little water in the cooked hawthorn.
5. Squeeze the juice with a cooking machine.
6. Stir until the pulp is completely muddy, and pour it back into the pot where the hawthorn is cooked.
7. Choose old rock sugar and add 500g of water. Single crystal rock sugar will do. My family loves to eat this old rock candy, and sugar will do. All the sugar sold outside is for use. It is best to eat rock candy by yourself.
8. Cook on low heat until the water basically evaporates and the syrup thickens, which can basically be shredded with chopsticks.
9. Slowly pour the cooked syrup into the beaten hawthorn sauce while it is hot. Don't pour too fast, but stir while pouring.
10. Stir thoroughly until the syrup and hawthorn sauce are completely mixed. Shake the pan a little, to smooth the surface and shake out the bubbles inside. Let it cool completely at room temperature, or put it in the refrigerator for more than 5 hours, and the hawthorn cake will solidify into a sweet and sour hawthorn cake.
1 1. Cut the finished hawthorn cake and have a look. Hawthorn sauce is stirred with a cooking machine, and hawthorn cake is very delicate.
12. Cut another big piece and have a look.
