Tinea manuum refers to a fungal skin disease that occurs on the palms of the fingers. Tinea manuum is called “goose palm wind” in Chinese medicine.

The cause of the disease is the invasion of the toes by Trichophyton epidermidis, Trichophyton or Trichophyton toe. Trichophyton rubrum has strong resistance and is difficult to control, and it interacts with Wei Qi and body fluids. It gathers together but does not disperse, resulting in dry and moist skin.

The clinical characteristics of tinea manuum are that the initial lesions are located on one side, and small blisters occur on the curved surface of the fingertips.
