Tanyuan

Nanxiang historical and cultural exhibition hall

Yun Xiang Temple
Yun Xiang Temple, also known as Liuyun Temple, is located in Jiefang Street, Nanxiang Ancient Town. The temple was built in Liang Tian for four years. It is said that Deqi and the monk got the help of the crane when they built the temple. On the day when the temple was completed, the crane flew south, which is a auspicious sign.
During the Tang Dynasty, Tang Wenzong once named it Nanxiang Temple. Later, it was named Yun Xiang Temple during the reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty.
