Slightly toxic.
Strictly speaking, all spiders are venomous, but the venom of most spiders is minimal. Because it relies on venom to hunt prey, and most of the spider's venom is produced by piercing the bodies of prey and so on through its teeth. Their venom is digestive juice, used to digest food outside the body, just like saliva, so all spiders are poisonous.
Only two families of spiders are non-venomous. The most primitive existing spiders, the Arthracidae under the Mesospun suborder, and the Orbweaveridae with sieve apparatus among the new spiders, do not have venom glands. The former has not yet evolved, and the latter's venom glands have degenerated and disappeared. Except for these two families, all spiders have a pair of venom glands, which means they are poisonous. And the brighter the spider's color, the more poisonous it is.
Extended information
Spider toxicity
There are no exact statistics on how many truly poisonous spiders there are. The most poisonous spiders in the world are the Mediterranean species of the family Orbidae. The black widow spider, the brown flat-armored spider of the family Araneidae, the Australian funnel spider of the family Theraidae, the black-bellied ctenoid spider of the Ctenoididae family, and the Australian tarantula of the Tarantulaidae family. The bites of thread spiders, tarantulas, etc. are larger and deeper, while the bites of wolf spiders, garden spiders, etc. are lighter.
The venom of Phoneutria spiders is very strong. Female spiders are much more toxic than male spiders. Male spiders will not inflict lethal amounts of toxins on humans. Because spiders are very poisonous, people in Brazil, the eastern Mediterranean, Yugoslavia and other countries are afraid of seeing spiders.
The most toxic spiders in my country include the following:
(1) Tarantulas produced in Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan and other places.
(2) Red claw spiders distributed in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Northeast and other places.
(3) Burrowing wolf spider distributed in Xinjiang, northern Shaanxi, Hebei, Changchun and other places.
(4) The hairy long-tailed spider commonly found in the mountains of central and southern Taiwan.
(5) The black widow spider reported in Fujian. Among them are two spiders whose toxicity has been studied by Chinese scholars.
Bites and treatment:
In the process of raising, operating and collecting poisons, sometimes it is inevitable to be bitten by poisonous spiders. The toxicity of burrowing spider venom varies with species, gender, individual size and maturity, and season. Generally, female spiders are more toxic than male spiders, and mature spiders are more toxic than young spiders.
From a seasonal perspective, spiders that have just emerged from hibernation and female spiders during hatching are the most toxic. The spider attacks with a pair of chelicerae at the front of its head and thorax. The venom is injected into the subcutaneous tissue through the small holes at the tips of the teeth on the chelicerae. At this time, two pinholes can be seen at the bite site.
In severe cases, local redness and swelling gradually expand, and severe pain quickly occurs at the distal end of the wound, which is often unbearable. Some people sweat profusely after being bitten, and suffer from systemic symptoms such as dizziness and drowsiness. , drowsiness, weakness, drooping eyelids, or vomiting and abdominal pain. In more severe cases, difficulty breathing, slow pulse, irregular heartbeat, and blurred vision may occur.
In case of being bitten by a spider, the most convenient and effective way is to cauterize the wound with a match or cigarette butt to destroy its toxins with high temperature. However, this method must be carried out before the poison spreads, and within 1 to 2 minutes after being bitten. In addition, there are several rescue methods as follows:
Crush ginger and apply it to the wound, or wash the wound with potassium permanganate solution, which can relieve and disappear the symptoms.
Use cooked tobacco to wipe the wounds and red and swollen areas. In severe cases, use a few grams of cooked tobacco or additionally use 10 grams of realgar, 15 grams of indigo and 0.2 grams of plum slices, grind them into pieces and rinse with warm water.
Use 250 grams of the traditional Chinese medicine Qingenzi, boil it in water and drink it frequently as tea.
Intravenous injection of 10 ml of procaine hydrochloride (novocaine), 10 to 20 ml of 10% to 25% magnesium sulfate, and 10 ml of 10% calcium gluconate.
Patients with severe symptoms or shock. 0.5 to 1 mg of epinephrine can be injected intravenously or subcutaneously.
Take Ji Desheng snake medicine according to the instructions.
