There is no fixed recipe for diabetic patients, you can arrange your own diet according to the actual situation, but patients should pay attention to the following points when choosing food:
1. Sugar-free food and other kinds of bread cookies are made of grain, the same as rice buns, eaten will be converted into glucose in the body, resulting in elevated blood sugar. Therefore, this type of food can be used to improve the monotonous taste and improve the pleasure of life, but must be calculated into the total calories.
2. Roots and tubers contain a relatively high proportion of carbohydrates, but they are not inedible, and only the corresponding amount of staple food needs to be deducted.
3. Cooking: Avoid adding sugar and oil during cooking, avoid thickening the sauce, exploding the sauce, and don't go overboard with the softness. Instant noodles, ham and sausage are mostly sugary and high in fat, and should be avoided as much as possible. Congee and overly soft foods have a greater impact on blood glucose and should also be avoided. Salt intake is <6g, and <3g for those with high blood pressure.
4. After drinking alcohol, ethanol enters the liver and inhibits hepatic glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, leading to hypoglycemia. Long-term heavy drinking can also lead to alcoholic cirrhosis and pancreatitis. Therefore, drinking alcohol is not recommended for diabetic patients. The total energy contained in alcohol should be calculated if alcohol is consumed. The amount of alcohol consumed in a day should not exceed 15 g for women and 25 g for men, not more than twice a week. Avoid drinking on an empty stomach.
