Seawater coral landscaping is an essential step in seawater tank landscaping. The key to whether a saltwater tank is pleasing to the eye depends on whether the landscaping of the saltwater tank is beautiful.
After the live rocks and other landscaping stones are placed, corals can be added. Corals have various shapes, including branches, brains, trees, strips, sheets, spirals, etc. Seawater coral landscaping is to place corals in different parts of the live rock according to their different needs for light and shapes, forming a scene of "different heights near and far". According to the requirements for light, corals are divided into: strong light zones, such as button corals and brain corals; medium light zones, such as butterfly corals; and low-light zones, such as sunflowers and sea cockscombs.
Seawater coral landscaping can be divided into soft coral landscaping, hard coral landscaping and soft and hard coral landscaping. Soft corals (lps) are easier to maintain than hard corals (sps). Common soft corals in seawater tanks include mushroom corals, brain corals, sunflowers, cat's eye corals, bubble corals, frog eggs, thousand-hand corals, etc. Due to skeletal reasons, soft coral landscaping is often attached to live rocks during landscaping, or is used to form a gentle landscaping. For example, brain coral can be placed in the middle and lower part of the live rock, or directly spread on the bottom of the tank. Hard corals (sps) are represented by disc corals, staghorn corals, calyx corals, and rose corals. Generally, hard corals cannot be placed directly on live rock or the bottom of the tank. They need to be supported by a chassis. Hard corals can be combined with soft corals to create the feeling of mountains and hills when landscaping.
Seawater tank landscaping requires landscaping stones, corals, and fish swimming in live rocks and corals. Proper use of live rocks and corals to arrange the scenery will certainly create a natural coral reef. Scenic seawater tank.
