The false pineapple is Pandanus furcatus Roxb., also known as forked pandanus, wild pineapple, mountain pineapple, Pati, and Luo Jindui. The rhizome and fruit are used as medicine. Distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan, and Tibet.

Function:

Clear away heat and detoxify, diuretic and reduce swelling. Mainly used to treat kidney stones, urinary tract infections, nephritis and edema, colds and high fevers, coughs, hepatitis, and orchitis. It can also cure rheumatic pain, dysentery and stomachache.
