Erhaihuangtang: comprises Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Rehmanniae Preparata, Corni Fructus, Poria, Achyranthis Radix, Alismatis Rhizoma, Sargassum, Thallus Laminariae, Cortex Moutan, Saviae Miltiorrhizae Radix, Herba Lychee, Semen Plantaginis, Jasper Powder and Radix Dipsaci.

Efficacy: nourishing yin and reducing fire with soft and firm opening and closing.

Indications: Acute urinary retention of benign prostatic hyperplasia belongs to the type of yang deficiency and fire excess.

Usage: decoction, daily 1 dose.

Efficacy: 13 cases, 9 cases were effective and 4 cases were ineffective.
