Durian is a tropical fruit. It likes to grow in a warm and sunny environment and has poor cold tolerance. It is difficult to survive in the northern region, and even if you survive, there will be no result. It is less cultivated in China, so it is expensive.
Planting method of durian
1, soil treatment
If you want to grow durian, you need to prepare a sowing soil first. The soil used for planting durian is generally neutral and slightly acidic soil, which needs to have a loose and porous structure and good drainage and permeability, and can be discharged in time when there is accumulated water, and has certain basic fertility.
2. Sowing techniques
Durian seeds generally do not need special treatment or catalysis, just select relatively complete and full healthy seeds, and then wash them with clear water and dry them for later use. When sowing, the treated seeds are evenly sown and covered with a thin layer of soil.
3. Planting and topdressing
There is no exact time and clear seasonal distinction for planting durian. The best time to plant durian seedlings is when the plant grows to about 30-40 cm high. Durian seedlings can be topdressing with organic fertilizer and appropriate amount of lime.
4, appropriate pruning
Durian needs sufficient light during its growth and development to help it grow as soon as possible. However, under the condition of sufficient light, water and fertilizer supply, durian needs to be pruned properly when it grows to a certain height to maintain its growth trend, and it is usually pruned in about 1-2 years.
