According to local conditions, select suitable Chinese cabbage varieties, the weight of each plant is about 10 kg, such as Jiaobai series varieties. It is best that the seeds are fresh, shiny and full, so that the germination rate is relatively high and the growth is robust.
2. Soil preparation
The quality of Chinese cabbage can be improved by applying compound microbial fertilizer, bio-organic fertilizer or cooked cake fertilizer, and adding 20 kilograms of silicon-calcium fertilizer per mu. After spreading the fertilizer and preparing the soil, the fertilizer can also be wrapped in the ridge. Pay attention to the whole soil, don't have big clods.
Step 3 sow seeds
Small-scale cultivation can be directly sown, seeds should be evenly sown, and thin soil should be covered after sowing. In order to keep the water content, you can sprinkle some broken leaves and broken wheat straw on it, and the seedlings can wait for emergence.
The specific requirements of Chinese cabbage cultivation on the environment are as follows:
(1) temperature
The days from sowing to harvesting of Chinese cabbage in mountainous areas are inversely proportional to temperature, that is, when the growth process is at a higher temperature, the shorter the growth period, the longer the time. For example, the growth period of disease-resistant spring king is about 85 days in mid-May, 75 days in mid-June and 80 days in early July.
(2) Moisture
Different growth stages of Chinese cabbage require different water. At seedling stage and seedling stage, the root system is weak and the water absorption capacity is poor, so the soil must be kept moist. With the rapid increase of leaf area, transpiration increased sharply and water demand increased accordingly at lotus-sitting stage.
(3) Soil nutrition
Chinese cabbage does not require high soil conditions, and it can be cultivated in general soil, but clay loam rich in organic matter is the best. Neutral or slightly alkaline soil is beneficial to the growth of Chinese cabbage, while strongly acidic or alkaline soil leads to poor growth and physiological obstacles of Chinese cabbage. Acidic soil is also beneficial to the growth of bacteria and induces bacterial diseases.
