Composition: Angelica sinensis, wolfberry, cumin, cinnamon, black cohosh, sedum (also available in wood), poria.
Introduction:
Warm Liver Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine formula. It is a qi agent, with the effect of warming the liver and kidney, moving qi and relieving pain. It is used for treating deficiency of liver and kidney, and cold stagnation of liver veins. Cold pain in testicles, or pain in the abdomen, hernia pain, fear of cold and love of warmth, pale tongue with white moss, and sluggish pulse. It is often used in the treatment of varicocele, orchitis, epididymitis, syringomyelia, inguinal hernia, etc., which belongs to the deficiency of liver and kidney, and cold stagnation of liver veins.
Dosage: Angelica sinensis 6g, wolfberry 9g, fennel 6g, cinnamon 6g, Wu yao 6g, incense (wood can also be) 3g, Poria 6g.
Use: one and a half cups of water, add ginger three or five slices, decoction of seven minutes, eat away from the warm service. Modern use: water decoction.
Compounding characteristics: this formula tonifies, disperses cold, and promotes qi, and should be applied according to its deficiency, cold, and qi stagnation of the lesser of the three, and accordingly adjust the compounding relationship between the king and the minister, so as to make it more pertinent to the condition.
Adding and subtracting: The original book says after the formula, "If the cold is severe, add Wu Zhu, Gan Jiang, and if severe, add Pian Zi." This means that the cold is light and heavy, the medication should be increased or decreased accordingly, otherwise the medicine is not as good as the disease, the efficacy of the treatment will be poor. If the abdominal pain is very bad, add Xiangshu to move qi pain; testicular pain is very bad, add the green peel, orange kernel to ease the liver and qi.
Contraindication: If the scrotum is red, swollen, hot and painful due to the injection of dampness and heat, it should not be misused.
