How to Make Royal Coffee
Royal Coffee is another type of alcoholic coffee that is made by mixing brandy with coffee. It is said that this type of coffee was invented during the long winter nights of Napoleon's expedition to Russia. The use of brandy in this coffee is very peculiar. First, a cube of sugar is placed in a small heat-resistant bowl, then brandy is poured in, and after waiting a few minutes to allow the pores of the cube to soak up the brandy, when the brandy has been largely absorbed by the cube, the cube is set on fire. A good brandy burns with a blue-white flame that is largely invisible in dimmer light. After a minute or so of burning, the white sugar cube will melt into a brownish sugar mixture. When the flame is extinguished, mix the liquor-flavored sugar mixture into the coffee while it is still hot, decorate the surface of the coffee with a little cream, and a cup of Royal Coffee is ready. There is an alternative way to make your Royal Coffee: pour hot coffee into a cup, put a coffee spoon in the mouth of the cup, put a sugar cube dipped in brandy in it, and then light the sugar cube when the coffee is brought to the table, and with the flame, the room will be filled with a sweet smell of alcohol, which will drive away the cold of the night. The only thing to pay attention to the production of this kind of coffee is: because the flame is not easy to see, in the ignition of the sugar cube should be very careful not to burn themselves.
