Ramen (ramen)
Ramen given away at ramen restaurants usually have meat and vegetables on top to give the ramen a more balanced nutritional profile. Ramen soup varies by region. Some come from soy sauce, some from Japanese bean paste, and some from salt-based. These are the most popular soups. In addition to ramen restaurants, you can buy a few cups of noodles at most convenience stores, add hot water and enjoy immediately.
Mixed rice (dongburi)
Bibimbap is a large bowl of rice served Japanese-style. This food originates from a bowl of rice to which cooked meat and vegetables are added. There is a type of bibimbap called "Oyako-don", which consists mainly of chicken and egg. You can also add beef and scallions, red onions, tempura or fried pork to the rice.
Sushi (寿司)
Sushi is thin slices of raw fish complemented by vinegared rice. In some cases, the fish will be rolled into a tube with seaweed and then cut into small circles. The fish will lie in a small rectangular ball of rice. You'll also find some sushi made with vegetables, eggs and poached fish.
Onigiri (rice ball)
If Japanese people want a quick meal, they can go to a convenience store and buy a popular rice box called - Onigiri. In addition to the basic rice component, the onigiri comes with diced fish and plums. Traditionally, onigiri are usually shaped into triangles and the fish component inside is usually salmon or tuna.
Nabe (Japanese hot pot)
This food is cooked by adding a large pot of meat and vegetables to a broth. Some convenience stores sell Japanese chowder, which is also a type of Japanese hot pot. Sukiyaki, hot pot, and sumo hot pot all fall under the category of Japanese hot pot.
Curry rice
Curry rice is not a special food in Japan, but it is still a very popular food. Japanese curry rice is slightly sweeter than Indian curry rice. The vegetables and meat in the food are also soaked in a thick curry sauce that goes well with the rice. Don't mistake "dry curry" for anything else. It's also fried rice, then topped with curry powder.
Tempura
Tempura is a deep-fried food made of vegetables and seafood that needs to be dipped in tempura sauce (usually made of soy sauce, glutinous rice, sugar and fish). Among them, tempura made of shrimp is the most popular seafood tempura. Vegetable tempura ingredients may include green peppers, potatoes, onions or bamboo.
Udon (udon noodles)
Udon is a thick noodle dish made from flour and usually contains chunks of fish, seaweed, and other vegetables.

Osaka yakisoba is a folk food of Kansai, part of the food culture and a representative of the noodle culture. Some people call Osaka "pizza" because of its appearance.
Compared with other Japanese cuisines, Osaka cuisine is inexpensive, which is why it is also known as "yoshoku," or foreign cuisine that can be purchased for a penny.
Japanese Omlet Rice
Japanese omlet rice is a favorite food of Japanese people, mainly made of chicken skin, chicken fillet and curry sauce. It has a sweet flavor and includes Walnut Ribs Omlet Rice and BBQ Chicken Ribs Omlet Rice, which were introduced to other countries.
Japanese Thick Baked Eggs
Japanese Thick Egg Omelette, the Japanese version of omelette, has a strong egg flavor and can be filled with meat floss, seaweed, spinach, scallions and ham. The flavors are ever-changing.
Grilled snapper
This is a Japanese snack that originated in Tokyo. It is mainly made of flour, sugar, milk and koso. It is shaped like snapper and fruit, which is derived from current Kawasaki cooking.
Fruit, a Japanese snack, is made from pinto beans.
The pinto beans, boiled, are made into a bean filling and then mixed with sugar. The bean paste is usually wrapped in rice cakes to make a variety of fine snacks. Specialties and fruits, such as "Zenzi", which is made by adding pinto beans and rice cakes to a thick and sweet soup; "Goose", which is made by pressing sugar into a wooden model without pinto beans inside; and goat soup are also specialties.
