Pomegranate source
Pomegranate originated in the Western Regions and was introduced to China in Han Dynasty. There are mainly agate pomegranate, pink pomegranate, green pomegranate and jade stone. Mature pomegranate peel is bright red or pink, often cracked, revealing crystal clear, gem-like fruit, sweet and sour and juicy.
Pomegranate is often regarded as a festive fruit because of its bright color and full seeds, which symbolizes many children and grandchildren. Pomegranate ripens during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, and is a festive and auspicious gift for relatives and friends.
