Sturgeon is an omnivorous fish, but the young sturgeon in natural waters mainly feed on benthic aquatic insects larvae and small fish at the bottom. With the growth of individuals and the increase of food intake, they began to feed on plant foods, such as algae in water and stems and leaves of aquatic plants. Under artificial breeding conditions, they can be domesticated to feed on water worms and mixed granular feed. In the juvenile stage, the larvae of juvenile fish feed on larvae or chopped water worms. With the growth of individuals, a small amount of compound feed is gradually added to the bait for bait domestication. The diet of juvenile ACIPENSER schrenckii is more difficult to domesticate than that of juvenile ACIPENSER schrenckii. Generally, the sturgeon Acipenser schrenckii can be completely domesticated in about 15d, and the artificial compound pellet feed can be used instead, and the feed of the sturgeon schrenckii is one. Even in the process of long-term domestication of bait, if the feeding amount of bait is insufficient, there will be residual food, and when the body length exceeds 15cm, this behavior will gradually disappear.
The growth rate of ACIPENSER schrenckii is closely related to external factors such as water temperature, food intake and nutritional value of food. The suitable water temperature for growth is 18 ~ 25℃, of which 20℃ is the optimum water temperature. When the water temperature is lower than 13℃ or higher than 28℃, the growth rate of ACIPENSER schrenckii is obviously slowed down and the food intake is obviously reduced.
In nature, the females of ACIPENSER schrenckii are 6-8 years old and weigh 9- 15.9 kg, while the males are 4-7 years old and weigh 4.5- 12.5 kg. There are two breeding periods, namely spring (March-April) and autumn (165438+). The suitable water temperature for spawning is 16 ~ 19℃, the absolute fecundity is 60 ~130,000 eggs, the egg diameter is 2.8 ~ 3.5 mm, and the sexually mature male fish is smaller and darker than the female fish. During the breeding season, sexually mature sturgeons will go up the Yangtze River to the upper reaches of Yibin to lay eggs, and the eggs of sturgeons are heavy and sticky.
