In the discipline itself, there is only a selective permission for meat, not a deliberate avoidance, so there is permission for three clean meats and five clean meats. Concepts such as complete and absolute vegetarianism actually come from the inherent teachings of Brahmanism, or are traditional features of ancient Indian religions. Please refer to the Manu Law in ancient India. Therefore, when devadatta plotted to alienate the monks and asked the Buddha to implement five commandments, one of which was that monks were not allowed to eat fish and meat, the Buddha refused, saying, "Fish and meat, if you follow three rules-you didn't see, hear or suspect (the animal was slaughtered because of you)-can be regarded as clean meat."
In the original basic laws, such as the law of four points, the law of Mahayana O, there is actually no provision on banning meat. The Mahayana Sutra, the Mahayana Sutra, the Bodhisattva Sutra, and the Youposai or Sutra, etc., which are based on Mahayana sutra, have the idea of prohibiting meat, so there is a difference between Mahayana precept and Mahayana precept.
Question 2: Can't people who believe in Buddhism eat meat? Believing in Buddhism can eat three clean meats.
Sanjing meat is the meat that the Buddha allows believers to eat, and it is called "Sanjing meat". Among its precepts, it is a food that can't help but be eaten by monks. However, it is forbidden to spread the scriptures in the north such as Lengga, Lengyan, Brahma and Nirvana.
Sanjie meat should meet three conditions:
First, out of sight, out of sight, that is, I didn't see the sad scene of animals dying with my own eyes;
Second, the ears don't hear the killing, that is, no one hears the sound of animals being killed;
Third, don't kill yourself, that is, don't kill yourself for eating.
For example, if you happen to see vendors killing chickens and fish when you go to the market, or people selling them tell you that this is fresh meat, it does not meet the above conditions; Another example is that when visiting relatives and friends' homes, they specially kill chickens and ducks to entertain them, which means that all beings are killed for themselves, and this is not Sanjin meat. People who are not completely vegetarian can eat this kind of meat temporarily, or buy ready-made meat from slaughtered livestock and poultry on the street.
Buddhism advocates not killing, but it is generally allowed to eat Sanjin meat. The forty-second volume of the law of four points stipulates:
There are three things that cause unclean meat. I said not to eat. If you see me killed. If you hear from a trusted person that you killed for me. If you see a head, skin and hair at home. If you see blood in your feet. Again, this man can do ten evil deeds, often killing people. You can kill for me. If the three causes are not clean, meat should not be eaten. There are three kinds of clean meat to eat. If you don't see it, smell it or suspect it, you should eat it. If you don't kill for me. I didn't smell it and killed it for me. If you don't see head, feet, fur and blood at home. And that person is not the killer.
The twenty-second volume of "Five Points Law" also records the example that Sakyamuni defined Sanjie meat in this way and personally encouraged his disciples to eat it:
There is a general named Shizi. It's a disciple of Ni Gui ... The general knows the Buddha has received it. It is also returned to the buyer in his home city. All the dead meat here is bought regardless of rank. If you teach, buy it. Cooking all kinds of delicious food all night. In the morning, I will go to the White Buddha. The tableware has been handled only by the saints. The Buddha and the monk sat back and forth around their home. The general is happy when he eats from his own hands. When you are young. General Wen Shizi invited the Buddha and the monk to set a banquet. Be jealous. That is, singing in the streets. General Shizi's betrayal of his teacher is senseless. Today is the rebellious Saman Gotama. Kill cattle and sheep by hand to support. The monks dare not eat when they smell it. General Shi Zi knelt down and worshipped the Buddha. These monks destroyed the Buddha all night. I won't even kill myself today. I hope that monks will not be suspected. Self-satisfied. The Buddha is the monks. Feel free to eat. Eat and drink. Take a cot and sit in front of the Buddha. Buddha said as before, sit up with joy. Buddha is a monk in a collection of events. Tell the monks. There are three kinds of meat that can't be eaten. If you see it, if you smell it, if you doubt it. See. See for yourself and kill for yourself. Smeller. I heard from a trusted person that I killed myself. Skeptic. Suspected of killing himself. If you don't see it, you don't smell it. It's for clean meat. Listen, eating at will is killing a bhikkhu. Monks and monks should not eat. Listen to the monks, the monks, the shamini, and the women. If you kill a nun for a nun, it will be the same. At present, Southern Buddhism still takes this view.
In the Book of Laws, the Buddha stipulated that Biku people should not eat ten kinds of meat: human, elephant, horse, dog, snake, lion, tiger, leopard, bear and hyena. In addition, in addition to being allowed to eat raw meat and drink raw blood at the beginning of non-human diseases (ghosts and gods possessed, etc.), it is forbidden to eat raw blood and raw meat without diseases. The Buddha also forbade Biku people to eat people who knew it was for themselves or with the Brahma (five dharma followers; Fish killed by five monks; The Buddha allowed Biku people to eat clean fish on three sides: fish that they didn't see, didn't hear, and didn't suspect that they had been killed by themselves or fellow Brahmins. In the Law Collection, the Buddha mentioned: "You should not eat meat without observation. If you eat it, you will commit evil deeds. The explanatory note mentioned: "'observation' refers to investigation and inquiry. "Not observed" means not asked. Therefore, if you know what kind of meat it is, you don't have to ask; If you don't know, you should ask before eating. In addition, the explanatory note mentioned again that because of bear meat and pork; Leopard meat and venison are very similar, so Biku should ask the donor when he gets the meat: Is this allowed meat?
Both the Buddha and Biku people rely on bowls to beg for food for their lives. Donors can eat whatever food they give, and they can't be picky. As long as they eat Sanjin meat, they are all like the law. When the Buddha was alive, Devadada put forward five ideas to break the monk, but it was forbidden by the Buddha. The fifth one was that he would never eat fish for life. We should take this as a warning! As for some people at home who don't eat fish out of compassion or habit, they want to have less bad relationships with all beings when their environment permits, which is commendable. However, they should not criticize Buddhists who eat Sanjin meat as they do, so that everyone can live in harmony. ...> >
Question 3: When Buddhism can't eat meat-loving men, it can't eat meat any day.

The contents (precepts) of Bajie are as follows:
No killing.
Studying Buddhism at home is the first priority. If you kill at home, the family will become a killing field, and the ghosts will not go away, so it is difficult to ensure peace. You can't "kill" (designated as vendor killing). If you can't grow vegetarian food at present, you can eat vegetarian food. In order to cultivate compassion, you can buy ready-made meat to eat. The bad news of killing is the most terrible, and the former flower newspaper is often sick or short-lived; Karma after death often falls into evil ways.
Second, do not steal.
Taking something without it is called stealing. Anyone who doesn't give you money and turns it into his own by any means is guilty of stealing. From the law of cause and effect, if you plant charity, you will get wealth; If you steal, you get the fruit of poverty.
Sanbufei Sanskrit
"Sanskrit" is pure, "non-Sanskrit" is impure behavior, referring to lust. The five precepts only prohibit "lewdness", and living at home as a lay husband and wife is not a violation of the precepts. What is required here is the precept of becoming a monk, that is, "not to commit adultery." However, it is not difficult to do it only on the sixth day of each month. This is a good cause of birth, which is to close the door of life and death. "Shurangama Sutra" says: "You can't get rid of the lust, and the dust can't come out." It means that it is impossible to surpass The six great divisions in the wheel of karma unless the lust is cleared. When the master in Xuanhua preached the twelve causes, he said that ignorance refers to lust, and ignorance is the cause (condition) that leads to behavior, and behavior is the sexual behavior of men and women. It is this lust that causes the reincarnation of the Yin body. "Don't commit adultery" in the Eight Rings contains high requirements. The Buddhist Sutra says: "One day and one night, hold your heart like a real person (Tathagata), do not commit adultery, do not read the atria and ventricles, practice Sanskrit, do not commit adultery, do not lust after sex, such as purity and abstinence, and study with one heart." This is to be in line with the Buddha. If you have a lust, fasting will not be clean. Because of the high requirements, although it is only one day and one night, it is of great merit. Being bound by the Baguan Pavilion precepts at home, husband and wife should be separated into separate rooms and beds, so as to keep the three professions clean.
Four don't lie
Including four items: (1) nonsense: big nonsense, such as two words, is enlightened by oneself, hoping for fame and wealth, and will fall into hell after death, and repentance is useless; Secondly, lying to others for personal gain is also a kind of evil cause, and it will eventually be rewarded. In addition, there are conditions for convenience lies, which must be beneficial to people and things rather than self-interest. For example, if you see a rabbit running past on the mountain, the hunter will chase you and ask you where the rabbit is going. It is clear that the rabbit is running west, and you tell him to run east. The purpose of this is to protect students, that is, to facilitate nonsense. (2) bad mouth: curse others with vicious language. This is a self-inflicted evil, and it will take its own consequences. (3) Two tongues: the language that plays tricks on right and wrong and alienates one another, especially the four people (at home, ... > >
Question 4: Why doesn't Buddhism eat meat? Buddhism used to eat meat. The Buddhist scripture "The Wide Book of Commandments" is very clear: there is no vegetarian rule in Buddhism. What Buddhists forbid to eat is "meat". This kind of meat is not our current concept, but refers to animal food such as chicken, duck and fish. The meat we are talking about now is called "fishy" in Buddhism, not "meat". In Buddhist scriptures, the word hun is not pronounced, but it should be pronounced as xun, which means smoked vegetables. "Meat is the stinker of vegetables". The Brahma Sutra is more specific: "If the Buddha is not allowed to eat five spices. Garlic, onion, kind onion, blue onion and Xingqu are five kinds of vegetables. The word "meat" comes from the grass head instead of the meat, which shows that the original meaning of meat is a plant rather than an animal. As for why meat has changed from a plant to an animal, it is unclear in a few words, and I will introduce it separately later. Buddhism believes that eating meat dissipates popularity, undermines sincerity and is difficult to communicate with the gods, so it is strictly banned. Twice, I went to the temple to eat vegetarian food, and I saw onions and garlic in the dishes. It can be seen that the monks in the temple have not yet understood the Buddhist scriptures. So many fasts are eaten for nothing. Whether a monk can eat meat is treated separately according to different situations, and no generalizations are made. Buddhism is divided into Mahayana and Hinayana. Mahayana is a means to measure people with one heart and one mind, so you can't eat any meat. Hinayana people who seek self-sufficiency but not self-sufficiency are allowed to eat three kinds of "clean meat" ("three clean meat" means "I can't see the killer; Second, I don't smell the murderer for me; Three suspects who kill for nothing "). For the "monks who are sick", that is, the monks who are sick, the humanitarian policy and special care are implemented, and all kinds of meat can be eaten. Nowadays, foreign monks from Indian and Sri Lankan countries, and monks from Mongolian, Tibetan, Dai and other ethnic minorities in China are allowed to eat meat. In the early days when Buddhism was introduced to China, it was too late to form the characteristics of China. So at that time, monks could still eat meat. Monks are not allowed to eat meat, which was first put forward by Xiao Yan, a Liang Wudi in the Southern Dynasties, more than 1,400 years ago. In the history of China, Xiao Yan can be regarded as the most lovely emperor. He believes in Buddhism and calls himself a "Sambo slave". Want to be a monk, want to almost crazy. Unexpectedly, he left his post four times, ran to Tongtai Temple, gave his body to the temple and became a monk. An emperor gave up all his legitimate rights and interests, even his body, and became the temple property of Tongtai Temple. Of course, he would no longer be in charge of the imperial court. However, at that time, there was no deputy emperor who could act as the emperor's authority in accordance with the law when the emperor could not perform his duties. At that time, there was no temporary appointment of acting cadres, and no one could be emperor unless Xiao Yan died. "A country can't live without a monarch for a day", and things are simply troublesome. I don't know how many conferences and meetings have been held and how many urgent consultations have been held. The only way to discuss and study is to redeem the emperor. So he immediately raised cash from the state treasury and asked Tongtai Temple to discuss the purchase. Tongtai Temple is profitable, of course, cooperate. Finally, according to the principle of market economy, Xiao Yan was bought back by the method of equivalent exchange. Immediately restore his person * * *, let him continue to hold leadership positions. Xiao Yan resolutely gave his life, but the level was too high, and he still couldn't help himself. It is only beneficial to Tongtai Temple to generate income again and again. If it is not Xiao Yan who is infinitely loyal to the Buddhist cause, if someone else does this, it can only be considered as a kickback. Xiao Yan can't put down the volume, a "Great Nirvana Sutra", which is well known by heart. The scripture stipulates: "No killing". Xiao Yan thought, if you kill things, you can't control them completely, but you still have to catch them fundamentally. Learn and use, and simply don't eat meat! You can't eat meat. What's the use of watching you kill? Once a decision is made, act immediately. Urgent message: the subjects advocate vegetarianism. Monks are not allowed to eat meat. The ancestors of the gods of heaven and earth enjoy the treatment of monks. What is monk treatment? That is, sacrifices to the ancestors of the gods of heaven and earth are not allowed to use three pig heads, all of which are changed into pig-head pork made of flour. As soon as the golden mouth is opened, a hundred words are called. For a time, vegetarians "registered permanent residence in the world, and a few of them went to half." It can be seen that monks are not allowed to eat meat, which is completely a rule evolved by Xiao Yan from the viewpoint of "not killing".
Question 5: Why can't Buddhism eat meat? Buddhism says that it is not brave to eat meat, because eating meat is killing life, destroying life and showing unkindness. People who eat meat have no chance with Buddhism. Another point of view is that the meat you eat may be the meat of your parents and relatives, because it may be reincarnated by your parents and relatives, so you must not eat it. Later, according to the living conditions of laymen at home, Buddhist scholars suggested that they could eat "three clean meats", that is, "don't kill for me"; I don't kill; You can eat the meat you kill without looking at it. That is to say, the meat you eat is not slaughtered by others, you don't kill animals, you don't watch animals being killed, so you can eat it.
Question 6: Can Buddhist countries outside China eat meat? Vegetarianism is not the canon of Indian Buddhism, but the canon of some branches of ancient Brahmanism. It is recorded that the last meal eaten before Buddha's nirvana was wild pork (and it is also recorded that it was wild mushrooms). The Buddhist canon forbids meat (not meat), saying that onions, garlic, leeks, coriander and other dishes with special smells are meat, and there is no taboo on meat. In China, it was Liang Wudi in the Southern Dynasties who confused meat with meat dishes. Since then, Buddhists in China began to avoid eating meat.
Today, the Buddhist community in China is basically vegetarian, which has become one of the important precepts of the Buddhist community in China. Indian Buddhism was interrupted for a period of time, but it was later introduced from abroad. Its native Buddhism is not vegetarian, which can be seen from the fact that Tibetan Buddhism, which is most influenced by it, wears non-vegetarian. However, Buddhism returned to India was influenced by some sects of Hinduism, especially Jainism, and some of them were vegetarian. Most native Buddhists in other countries, such as Southeast Asia, Japan, Southwest China, China, and Mongolia, did not observe vegetarian precepts.
Question 7: Can you believe in Buddhism if you eat meat? Of course, it is a deep blessing to have the idea of believing in Buddhism. In your Alaiye knowledge, you once believed in Buddhism. Buddhism never said that you can't believe in Buddhism if you eat meat, but only stipulated that your family members should not eat meat.
Question 8: Why doesn't Buddhism eat meat? In my opinion, Buddhism is not equal. If Buddhism talks about equality, then why did others kill my mother and Buddhists advise me not to take revenge but to tolerate the enemy? What is equality? ! ? !
You know why?
The equality mentioned in Buddhism is great equality, which is not what most people understand. If your heart is not clean, you can't understand the great equality mentioned in Buddhism. If your heart is clean, you can be equal naturally, and you don't need your next consciousness to be equal to yourself or all beings around you.
After understanding this, the problem of eating meat can almost be solved.
Do you eat meat intentionally or unintentionally? If you do it with your heart, you have already broken the rules. If you don't do it with your heart ... (I understand)
Buddha said that all methods are for crossing all hearts. I don't have all hearts. Why do I need all methods?
Of course, this requires your own personal verification. It is not difficult to do it unintentionally overnight. For example, if you see what I said above, you may have begun to be afraid. This idea has been deeply rooted in your Arya's knowledge that you can't do it (at least now you can't do it, or it is difficult). If you eat meat unintentionally, you will be afraid whether you will go to hell or not. As long as you are afraid of hell, you will not be able to understand the realm of equality mentioned in Buddhism.
It is really good not to eat meat. From the perspective of tantric cultivation, it is very helpful. I agree not to eat meat, and it is also very helpful to establish compassion. I hope you can not eat meat or eat as little as possible!
Question 9: Can Buddhists eat meat? If they really practice, they can't eat the meat of all beings! The Buddha clearly pointed out in the four kinds of pure teachings in the Shurangama Sutra:
In the world, there are six sentient beings. If they don't kill their hearts, they will not follow them, and life and death will continue. If you practice samadhi, you will have to work hard. If you kill your heart, you can't leave the dust. No matter how wise you are, you will meditate before you appear. If you keep killing, you will fall into the path of God. Top-grade people are powerful ghosts. The middle products are flying hags and ghosts. When inferior, Luo Cha. There are ghosts and gods, and there are also disciples. Each says his own way, and he becomes supreme. After my death, in the final law, there are many ghosts and gods, and I know the prosperous times. If you say that you eat meat, you will get Bodhi Road. Ananda! I told the monks to eat five clean meats. This meat is my supernatural power, and there is no life root. Rubrahman, the land is wet and steamed, and if you add sand and gravel, grass and vegetables will not grow. I am endowed with great compassion and divine power. Because of great compassion, the pseudonym is meat, and you get its taste. What can I do, Tathagata, after the extinction. Eating the flesh of all beings is called releasing the child. You should know that you are meat-eaters, and your heart is like samadhi, and you are all big in Luo Cha. The report will sink in the end, and life and death will be bitter, not a Buddhist disciple. If so, they will kill each other and eat each other. What is the cloud, and what are the three realms? You teach the world, practice samadhi, and kill life every time. It's the name Tathagata, the Buddha first, the second decision, pure and clear teaching. That's why Ananda! If you keep killing, practice meditation. For example, someone, self-plugging, shouting loudly, begging for help. These are called "hidden secrets". Clean bhikkhus and bodhisattvas, walking in the fork road, do not plant grass, and pull them by hand. What is the great sorrow of the cloud, taking all sentient beings and filling them with flesh and blood.
Of course, the Shurangama Sutra is a Mahayana classic that really guides us to become a Buddha, but it is not like the ordinary classics, which are merciful and skillful and convenient to guide.
Question 10: Does Buddhism allow eating meat? Why do you want this picture? Eating or not eating depends on the depth of karma and the amount of resentment. He ate you in previous lives, and you ate him in this life. Causal cycle has a beginning and no end, and everything is fixed. I can't eat if I want to. Why does Buddhism want to be a vegetarian? In fact, it is to repent, repent of one's karma, and get rid of one's karma for the creditors of the past generations. Everyone is happy to become a Buddhist, and to be happy from suffering. 2 For the sake of good health, if you eat meat, the meat is actually eating you. Isn't it said by modern science that if the meat is not cooked well, there is a substance in it that affects your health, and if the meat is cooked too well, there is a substance that causes cancer. Therefore, we can try not to eat if we don't eat. For the sake of Buddhism and Taoism, if we accumulate more good causes, we will get good results.
