Onions like to grow in loose and fertile organic soil, before planting, can be applied to the soil once rotted organic fertilizer, watering water to maintain a moist state, but also to disinfect the soil once, in order to improve the germination rate.

2, time: onions can generally choose to plant in late September to early October. Onions are planted in different regions and different climates have different instructions. South China and the Yangtze River Basin region of the winter compared to the north is also relatively warm, so the sowing time should be strictly controlled to avoid low temperatures to come when the seedlings overgrowth, through the low temperature period and through the vernalization. Onions are afraid of high temperatures and heat, while onion seeds can germinate at temperatures of 3-5 degrees Celsius. Growing care of onions

Keep the seedbed moist after sowing to prevent soil crusting that can affect seedling emergence. Proper water control can be done only after the seedlings have their first true leaves. When the young stem grows 4 to 6 centimeters, it will be shaped like a bow, and this stage is called "drawing the bow". From the time the cotyledons emerge to the time the embryonic stem straightens out, this stage is called "stretching". Usually, if you have watered the seeds before sowing, you don't need to water them until they are "bowed" or "stretched out", which ensures that all the seedlings come out.

If the seed is not watered before the bottom of the water, or is not watered, it is recommended that after sowing to the seedlings out of the ground is to water 2 to 3 times. In the seedling height of 10 to 15 cm according to the seedling condition combined with watering and appropriate amount of fertilizer, you can also carry out foliar spraying. It is recommended to spray 1 to 2 times of potassium dihydrogen phosphate at a concentration of 0.2% to 0.4% 10 to 15 days before transplanting, which can promote rooting after transplanting.
