Pak Lei is one of the excellent pear varieties in China. It is native to Bozhou, Hebei Province and is famous for its export to Tianjin. Yali pear is named after its handsome fruit shape, prominent fruit stalk and duck head shape. Yali pear has large fruit (average single fruit weight 175g, maximum 400g), thin skin and small core, rich juice without residue, moderate sweet and sour taste and rich nutrition. The taste is fragrant and long, crisp but not greasy, and it is known as "natural manna".
Yali pear has strong adaptability, high yield, large and beautiful fruit, crisp and juicy meat and sweet taste. The fruit of Yali pear is inverted oval, with a duck-head-shaped bulge at the top and rust spots near the fruit stalk. The peel of Yali pear is yellow-green, which will turn pale yellow after storage. The fruit of bagged Yali pear is yellow and white, also known as crystal Yali pear or crystal pear.
