A friend gave me a big bag of sticky rice. After thinking about it, I decided to make handmade mochi for once. Mochi family members love to eat, but because there is no suitable utensils at home, can only be everything from simple. I am sharing the recipe for handmade mochi below, hope you like it.

01Add an appropriate amount of glutinous rice to the basin. If there are more people, add more rice, if there are less people, add less rice.
02Add fresh water to the glutinous rice and soak for three hours.
03Lay two layers of gauze on the steamer, put the soaked glutinous rice on the gauze, smooth it out and steam it.
04The glutinous rice can be steamed until soft and cooked, and the steaming time should not be too long, so as not to be unpalatable after the water.
05Put the steamed glutinous rice into a large garlic maker and mash it. I don't have a handy tool, I put it in a basin and pounded.
06The glutinous rice can be mashed into a ball.
07Knead the mochi into a ball, pull off a small ball when eating, dipped in sesame noodles to eat.
08Or put the patties in the refrigerator and fry them in slices when you want to eat them.
