Freshwater fish are not considered seafood. Freshwater fish live in fresh water and have a different living environment from sea creatures. Only edible animal or plant raw materials produced in the sea can be called seafood. Seafood includes fish, shrimp, shellfish and other categories. Although marine organisms such as kelp are often cooked into food, seafood is mainly made from animals. Freshwater fish live their entire lives in fresh water in rivers, rivers, lakes and streams. There are more than 200 species in other families such as Goby, Goby, and Synbranchidae, accounting for about a quarter of all freshwater fish. Seafood is mainly dishes made from animals. In a narrow sense, only fresh seafood can be called seafood.
