The B-2 has participated in three wars since entering service. On March 24, 1999, two B-2s took off from Whiteman Air Force Base. In the Iraq War, the B-2 aircraft flew 49 sorties. Among them, 27 sorties used the local Whiteman as the take-off and landing base, flew across the Atlantic route, and carried out long-distance operations, with a flight time of about 35 hours. The other 22 sorties were carried out from a forward base as a take-off and landing base, and carried out precise strikes on Iraq's command, control, communication and other facilities.
