Original perennial herb, 8 ~ 20 cm tall. Rhizomes are short and erect, with dense lanceolate scales at the top. Leaves are clustered, petioles are light green, and fiber scales are sparse from the upper part of leaf axis; Leaf blade is oblong-lanceolate, herbaceous, 6 ~12cm long, 2 ~ 3cm wide in the middle, hairless, with two or three pinnate fronds, and narrow wings on both sides of feather axis and leaf axis; The base pinnae is slightly shorter, and the middle pinnae is 0.9 ~ 2 cm long, triangular and rectangular; The top of the last leaf has 2 ~ 3 sharp teeth. Sporangium group per lobe 1, often covered under leaves when mature, and capsule group is nearly oblong and entire.

Habitat distribution is born on rocks by streams. Distributed in the south, north and northwest of the Yangtze River.
