In addition to encouraging patients to face their illnesses bravely and actively, Dr. Bo Sheng Ke also shared the current treatment guidelines at the conference; chronic myeloid leukemia is no longer regarded as a hard-to-treat cancer, and as long as you follow your doctor's instructions, you can enjoy a healthy and happy life!
Chromosomal abnormalities: A call to care for one's own health
Dr. Jilu Tang of the Cancer Center Hospital at National Taiwan University said that chronic myeloid leukemia is due to the human body's 9th and 22nd pairs of shifting anomalies, resulting in the Philadelphia Chromosome *** abnormal hematopoietic cell proliferation, and that the patient would experience an increase in the number of white blood cells, platelets, or a shortage of red blood cells. The patient may experience an increase in the number of white blood cells and platelets, or an insufficient number of red blood cells. However, the symptoms of chronic myelogenous leukemia are usually not obvious at the initial stage, and it is only when the disease progresses and worsens that palpitations, fatigue, wheezing, or poor mental and emotional well-being may occur. Therefore, it is recommended that people undergo regular health checkups so that they can receive early blood sampling and early treatment. If you don't have a regular health check, you will need to pay more attention to the above symptoms.

Chronic myeloid lymphoma has a high cure rate and proper treatment does not deteriorate
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Taiwan, Dr. Koh Bo Sheng, said that the current chronic myeloid leukemia is based on targeted drug therapy, and that the first three years of the disease are most prone to resistance to drugs, especially the first year of the disease, and that the period of time in which you need to be patient. The first year in particular is the period that requires the most patience to get through. However, there are now very good drugs that can treat chronic myelogenous leukemia, and the standard of treatment in Taiwan is also in line with the international standard of treatment, so as long as the patient follows the doctor's instructions and receives good treatment, chronic myelogenous leukemia can be well controlled. Dr. Kobayashi also added that, after the cure is complete, the patient will be able to have a normal life as long as he or she is regularly screened, and can even conceive a child, which is also healthy!
My heart desires to be alone in the face of cancer treatment
The organizer of the event, Taiwan's Friends of the Marrow, has also planned a DIY activity called "My Heart's Starlight Handmade," which encourages patients to not be afraid of the disease even if they are sick. The starlight will walk with you in the darkness.
