2. Wash pig's trotters with hot water to remove fishy smell and excess grease, and then take them out and wash them with cold water.
3. Pour a proper amount of water into the casserole (water must be added at one time), and add the processed trotters, red dates and ginger slices.
After the fire boils, turn to medium heat and stew for one and a half hours. Add yam segments and salt and cook for another half an hour. Sprinkle chopped green onion when drinking.
Note: When peeling yam, wear disposable gloves or rubber gloves to avoid skin discomfort (itching and allergy) caused by skin contact with yam juice.
