Mr. Carrot's Beard Ideas for Continuing Writing:

Mrs. Bird tugged on Mr. Carrot's beard and thought it was long enough, so she took scissors and cut a section of it to use as a clothesline.

Mr. Carrot continued on his way.

When he walked through the small park, a group of children were making a swing, but the children couldn't find the ropes on either side of the swing. When they saw Mr. Carrot's beard, the children thought it was long and strong enough to be used as a rope for the swing, so they borrowed a piece of Mr. Carrot's beard and used it to make a swing.

The monkey and the kangaroo were going to compete in a rope skipping contest, and the one who jumped the most would win. But they couldn't find the rope for jumping. Mr. Carrot walked right past them, and when the kangaroo and the monkey saw him, they immediately went up to Mr. Carrot and asked him to borrow his beard.

The kangaroo said, "Mr. Carrot, can you lend us a piece of your beard?" Mr. Carrot was very happy and said, "Of course!" The monkey and the kangaroo thanked him and went off happily to compete in a rope skipping contest with Mr. Carrot's beard!

In the end the kangaroo won!

Mr. Carrot saw all this and said to himself, "So my beard is so useful!"

Mrs. Bird said, "Mr. Carrot, can I cut a piece of your beard?" Mr. Carrot was very puzzled and said, "What? I clearly remember shaving my beard!" Mrs. Bird said, "Look, you clearly have a long beard on your face!" Mr. Carrot touched it, "Ya, so I missed shaving one! Take it and use it!" After saying that, he cut a piece and gave it to Mrs. Bird.

The bunny wanted to play jump rope with her best friend, but the bunny couldn't find her jump rope. Just in time, the bunny saw Mr. Carrot's long beard again. The bunny hurried over and asked, "Mr. Carrot, can I cut a piece of your beard?" Mr. Carrot said, "Yes."
