Not all grapes can make wine. Among all the grapes, there are more than 6,000 kinds of grapes that can be used to configure wine, and there are only 50 kinds of grape varieties that can make good wine, such as Cabernet?Sauvignon, Cabernet?Franc, Camay, and so on.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape variety used to make wine, native to the Bordeaux region of France, easy to grow, suitable for a variety of different climates, and has been planted everywhere.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of noble red wine making varieties and is traditionally an excellent variety for red wine making. This variety is suitable for growing in hot gravel soil, because the fruit is small but the skin is thicker, so the ripening time is later, and there is less likely to be a problem of fruit rot caused by more rain in the fall before picking. Also, because it germinates later in the spring, it is difficult for spring frosts to affect its growth. Such good plantability and yield stability is a big reason for its worldwide popularity.
Cabernet Franc
It is an old French winemaking variety that is cultivated all over the world. Its distinctive character is a strong grassy flavor, mixed with delicious blackcurrant and mulberry fruit flavors, and because of its lighter body, its main function locally is to blend with Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, although the world-renowned Chateau Cheval Blanc uses it as its main ingredient. Cabernet Franc grows better in areas with cool temperatures and moist soil, and she favors continental climates and is not afraid of inclement weather during the harvest.
