Also known as Polygonum hydropiper, Polygonum hydropiper and Polygonum hydropiper.

It comes from Polygonum lapathifolium L., a plant of Polygonum genus of Polygonaceae, and is used as a whole herb. Harvest in autumn, fresh or dried.

Sexual taste is pungent, bitter and cold.

Functions: clearing away heat and toxic materials, promoting diuresis and relieving itching. Used for enteritis and dysentery; External use for eczema and tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes.

Usage and dosage 0.5 ~1two. Appropriate amount for external use, decocted in water for fumigation or mashed and applied to the affected area.
