Habitat
The bamboo rat is named after the bamboo it eats, so bamboo is the best food for breeding bamboo rats. Prefer to inhabit in bamboo forests, horsetail pine forests and mountainous areas under the grass on the sunny slopes, living under the campsite, burrowing. They are more active at night, eat less and sleep more during the day, and eat vigorously at night. Its activity pattern can be divided into activity cycle and rest cycle.
The bamboo rat likes to live in a quiet, dark, clean, dry, light appropriate, fresh air environment, like warmth, low-temperature resistant, not resistant to high temperature, like to hide in the corner of the light is very weak, the living temperature of -8 ~ 35 ℃, the optimal temperature of 8 ~ 28 ℃.
