Tang's first wife was Ma Aqian, who was divorced by Tang with 300 silver dollars. They have their eldest son, Tang Jianyuan, and their second wife is Chen Yi's adopted daughter, Bai Jing. They have their eldest daughter Tang, two daughters Tang, three daughters Tang Guofang, four daughters Tang Guoli and their youngest son. 1950 After Chen Yi was executed, Wang held a grudge against Tang.
