Expanded Information

Background on the Creation of "Star Baby"

It is the second of three films produced at the Disney Studios in Orlando, Florida, the other two being Mulan and The Legend of the Bear.

The film's voice actors, David Alden Stiles and Devi Tweed, were also involved in the dubbing of the English-language version of "A Thousand and One," produced by the same studio, Walt Disney.

The animated picture changed from the popular three-dimensional animation production of the time to a two-dimensional watercolor style, which restored the original reality of the cartoon.

"Star Baby" is one of the few Disney films set in modern times, others include 1961's "101 Spotted Dogs," 1977's "Rescue Heroes," 1990's "Rescue Heroes' Australian Adventures," and 1988's "The Adventures of Olivia," among others.

The Star Babies TV cartoon movie series of the same name, adapted from the Star Babies movie, follows Lilo and Stitch's journey to find 625 space experiments. Adapted from "Star Baby", "Star Baby 2: Stitch" is a continuation of the original movie story, which is set to follow the plot of the original movie and is equivalent to a sequel.
