Our park is of high standard, and there are some demonstration sheds of scientific research institutions, so we can always use some quite good and advanced tools to make our planting management easier. The four most popular ones are electric film collector, tendril binding machine, bumblebee pollination and yellow board, which are not expensive, but they are particularly practical and simple to operate. As far as electric winder is concerned, our vegetable growers are all older. It used to be very dangerous to walk back and forth on the shed to open the tuyere, especially when it was snowy and slippery in winter. Since the electric film winder is used, the tuyere can be opened by pressing the switch, which is particularly convenient and not dangerous.
Below I will introduce the four most commonly used tools of our master in detail, hoping to give some inspiration and help to the friends who grow vegetables.
Electric film winder
All our greenhouses are equipped with electric winder, which is very easy to use. I used to go to the shed to open the air outlet, and then closed it with bamboo hooks in the afternoon, and so on. Not to mention the danger, it takes half an hour to open the air outlet every day. The shed is slippery after the rain, so you need to be careful, or you will really get hurt if you fall.
The electric film winder solves the problem of opening and closing the tuyere very well, and the tuyere is particularly neat, and as many as you want. The installation of electric winder is not complicated. The small membrane controlling the tuyere is fixed on the steel pipe, and the motor at one end rotates up and down to achieve the purpose of opening the tuyere, which is particularly easy to use. Some companies that build and maintain greenhouses can be responsible for installing electric film winder, and the price is not expensive, ranging from 1000-2000 yuan. The electric winder can be used for a long time. It has been used for five or six years since we installed it, and it is still very easy to use, and it does not need much maintenance during this period.
Bristle binder
The tendril binder is indeed a seemingly simple but particularly suitable gadget. Eggplant vegetables, melon vegetables and beans planted in our greenhouse need to be cultivated by hanging vines. There are many advantages of hanging vine cultivation. First, it can improve the land use efficiency of greenhouse; Secondly, increase the ventilation and light transmission in the field, reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases, increase the area of photosynthesis, and improve the yield and quality; Third, for some vegetables with colored fruits, such as tomatoes, colored peppers, melons and so on. Increasing light can make their colors uniform and improve commercialization.
In the past, we used to hang vines on vegetables. After the vegetables were planted, we began to hang vines. 1. The iron wire is stretched in the north-south direction in the shed, and the iron wire is located above the planting row. One end of the rattan rope is tied to the iron wire, and the other end is tied to the base of the vegetable stem. In order to untie the rope conveniently when pulling seedlings or falling vines, it is necessary to tie hooks, and this method of tying hooks takes a long time for some novices to learn. After hanging vines, as the vegetables grow taller and taller, it is necessary to keep winding vines, and the main stem should be wound on the rattan rope. Eggplant or pepper may need to tie three or four hanging vines and keep winding vines, while cucumber needs to keep falling vines and winding vines because the main vines are very long.
The whole process of hanging vines is like the above, which is very time-consuming and laborious. The use of hanging clips will not change the hanging process, but it will make the hanging much easier. When you need to bind or twine vines, just clamp them with a clip. The mouth of the clamp is a round hole, and the edge of the round hole is smooth. Put the stem of the vegetable into the big round hole, and stick it with the branches of the vegetable, which will not cause harm to the vegetable. The rattan rope is clamped in the small round hole next to it, and generally three or four nodes can clamp a clip.
Tie clips are not expensive. The price of 1000 tie clips we bought is 85 yuan. The more we buy, the cheaper it will be. The tie clip can be used for four or five years continuously, which is quite cost-effective.
Hanging yellow board
Due to the closed environment in the greenhouse, there are few pests in vegetable cultivation, but pests such as whitefly, whitefly and aphid still exist. These pests are difficult to kill by spraying, but they tend to turn yellow, so yellow boards can be hung in the shed to attract pests and stick them.
The yellow board is about one yuan, and the planting area of one mu of land is 30-50 pieces. There are strict requirements on the hanging height, which must be hung above the vegetables 10cm, so the hanging height should be constantly adjusted with the growth of vegetables.
Bumblebee pollination
Although most vegetables planted in the open field do not need pollination, they can be pollinated by wind and insects, but the greenhouse is closed, with little wind and almost no insects, so most fruits and vegetables planted in the greenhouse need auxiliary pollination. Among them, tomatoes and melons must be pollinated, while eggplant, pepper and cucumber can be pollinated without assistance.
In the past, we planted tomatoes in greenhouses mainly by spraying flowers and assisting pollination. The main component of flower spraying is plant growth regulator zuoguoling or 2,4-d, which can promote ovary expansion and form fruit after flower spraying. Tomato planted by spray flower is easy to grow into hollow fruit because it has not been sexually pollinated and has no seeds. Flower-spraying hormone is greatly influenced by the environment, with high abnormal fruit rate and bad fruit taste, which is labor-consuming. Tomatoes should be sprayed every day after they enter the flower and fruit stage.
Bee bees can solve the problem of vegetable pollination in greenhouse, saving time and effort. Generally, bumblebees are put into tomato sheds two or three days before flowering. The main thing to note is that melons are pollinated by bees, and eggplant peppers can also be pollinated by bumblebees. The suitable temperature of bumblebees or bees is around 30℃, so it is necessary to control the temperature in the shed. Do not spray pesticides in the shed during the bee release, and it is best not to spray fungicides. The pollination time of melons is about 15 days, so it is completely possible to spray pesticides after pollination. The pollination time of tomatoes is longer. If spraying is needed, bumblebees can be collected and put in other sheds before spraying.
In a tomato shed with an acre of land, only one box of bumblebees is needed for pollination, and the price is one box in 450 yuan, which does not increase the cost. Tomatoes pollinated by bumblebees grow well, taste sweet and cost more.
