When onions sprout, the loose layer outside the bulb needs to be peeled off so that the buds are exposed. Use a sterilized knife to cut off the excess around the onion buds, keeping only the middle of the onion. Bury the onions in loose, fertile soil. Place the onions at 16-28 degrees to allow them to thrive.

Peel off the outer layer

Onions can be planted when they sprout. First, we can peel off the loose onion layers in order to expose the buds. Be careful that the root system of the peeled onion should not be damaged, as this can lead to poor growth of the onion root system in the soil.

Care and Management

After planting sprouted onions, if the potting soil is dry, you can water moderately to keep the potting soil slightly moist, and then place them in a sunny room to absorb proper light and promote growth. Keep the indoor temperature between 16 and 28 degrees to ensure healthy onion growth.
