Why bother about it?
This tutorial is divided into two parts: building my own My World server and building my World server on raspberry pie. Why do you want to build your own MyWorld server? Because not everyone can play My World on their own server. You can keep the server running all the time. When you are not playing, your friends and family can join the game and continue to build your world. You can try to modify the game parameters, make mod, and experience the feeling of a GM, which can't be done on a public server, and you don't have to spend a lot of money to rent a remote host as a server.
For fans of My World, it is very attractive to build a My World server. But it will be more attractive on raspberry pie. A small raspberry pie consumes very little electricity, which can keep the server on all the time, and the annual electricity bill is only a few dollars. As long as a raspberry pie and an SD card take a little time to set up, you can have an all-weather My World server, and the monthly operating cost is just the price of a piece of chewing gum.
What do you need?
This tutorial requires some hardware and software; Except raspberry pie and SD card, everything else is free.
1 raspberry pie (5 12MB version is better)
1 4GB SD card
This tutorial assumes that you are already familiar with the environment of raspberry pie and have installed Raspbian derived from Debian. If your raspberry pie hasn't run yet, you can refer to: introductory tutorial of HTG raspberry pie/138281/the-HTG-guide-to-getting-started-with-raspberry-pi/.
