For baby's diarrhea, family care is particularly important. Those who know how to care will recover faster, and those who don't know how to care may prolong the baby's diarrhea time, even lead to dehydration, which will make the baby's gastrointestinal tract more weak and affect the child's growth and development.
Our children often have diarrhea when they are young. In professional knowledge and practical nursing, I summed up ten points about baby diarrhea care:
1. Stop eating high-protein food
What is high-protein food? Mainly some fish, shrimp, fish, meat and other foods, protein content will be higher. Protein digestion will put more pressure on the child's weak stomach. Causing diarrhea to worsen.
I remember that Jingjing in our family had diarrhea. Grandma secretly gave the child two pieces of fish, and the diarrhea became worse that day.
2. Stop foods with high fat content
For example, cakes, fat, fried foods, peanuts, sesame seeds (all foods that can be fried to oil should not be given to children). It is more difficult to digest fat, and greasy foods will also promote intestinal peristalsis, and children will pull more happily.
3. It is not recommended to give children soy milk
Because soy milk contains a lot of fructooligosaccharides, even if healthy adults drink too much soy milk at a time, it will cause diarrhea, not to mention children who are having diarrhea. Never give it to children.
4. Fasting is not recommended
Some adults have diarrhea as soon as they eat it, but they don't pull it if they don't eat it. As a result, they feel better after fasting for one day. So I think children can also use this method.
Adults have stored nutrients for so many years, and it's okay not to eat them for a day or two, but the nutrients stored in the baby's body are not too much, and they need to consume a lot of nutrients when they are sick, so parents don't recommend fasting their children at will.
Unless in a hospital, doctors prescribe fasting for children, and doctors often prescribe amino acid nutrition to supplement children. And parents should not give their children fasting and water at home.
5. You don't need to use antibiotics for diarrhea.
Many diarrhea is not caused by bacteria. It is useless to take antibiotics, but it will damage the baby's immunity. In case of side effects caused by antibiotics, diarrhea may be aggravated.
Antibiotics should be used only after the doctor's blood test finds bacterial infection, and parents should not use them themselves.
6, if necessary, supplement lactase, or change diarrhea milk powder
The baby is mainly milk, if diarrhea will consume lactase in the body, if the child begins to have diarrhea, buy lactase for the child, (drink it half an hour before drinking breast milk or milk powder)
If diarrhea is serious, then breast milk or milk powder can be changed into lactose-free formula milk powder, that is, diarrhea milk powder.
7. It is recommended to eat porridge that is easy to digest. Noodles
This kind of food mainly supplements carbohydrates, which is not too heavy for the gastrointestinal tract and can supplement the baby with certain energy.
8. Steamed apples are a good dish for diarrhea.
When cooked, apples taste good, which helps to stimulate the baby's appetite. Moreover, pectin in cooked apples will help to adsorb intestinal toxins, thus alleviating the symptoms of diarrhea.
9. Oral rehydration salt is the best medicine for diarrhea
As long as it can prevent children from dehydration or correct their dehydration symptoms, you don't have to worry too much about children being dehydrated more than adults, and if children are dehydrated, the consequences will be very serious if they don't correct acidosis in time. It is suggested to prescribe some oral rehydration salts to the hospital when diarrhea occurs. After being prepared according to the standard, give some to the children every time after pulling, and make up as much as you can.
1. Supplementing zinc, increasing the amount of zinc
In the Diarrhea Treatment published by the World Health Organization in 25, it is suggested that children should be supplemented with zinc (1-2mg) every day when they have diarrhea. It is suggested that children under six months should be supplemented with 1mg every day, and babies over six months should be supplemented with 2mg every day for 1 -14 days.
zinc supplementation helps to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa of children, thus contributing to the recovery of diarrhea and reducing the recurrence of diarrhea.
