Tongcai is a hollow vegetable. Ipomoea spinosa, also known as hollow heart vegetable, tomato vegetable, tomato vegetable, vine vine vegetable, tomato vegetable, is a plant of the genus Pomacea in the light calyx group. The species is native to East Asia and is now widely cultivated as a vegetable, or sometimes escapes into the wild. It is commonly cultivated in Fujian, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Guangdong and other provinces in central and southern China.

Consumption of cabbage: Cabbage wash, cut into sections, put into the pot, add oil, garlic, salt, chicken essence, stir fry for 3 to 5 minutes, can be eaten. Wash and put the cabbage into a pot, add water, sliced garlic, salt, pippin, and sesame oil, and cook for 4 minutes. Wash the hollow cabbage, put it into the wok, add oil, pork, garlic, salt, soy sauce, stir fry for 5~8 minutes.

Hollow cabbage is suitable for growth in a warm and humid climate, fertile and wet soil places, not cold, frost stems and leaves withered. Distribution throughout tropical Asia, Africa and Oceania.
