When isopropyl myristate comes into contact with rubber, the rubber swells, partially dissolves, and the viscosity decreases; when it comes into contact with plastics (such as nylon and polyethylene), these materials will swell. Isopropyl myristate and paraffin wax are incompatible and form a granular mixture. They are also not suitable for compatibility with strong oxidants
