Cruise tourism has the characteristics and advantages of rich and colorful trips, all kinds of tall experiences and enjoyment, but extremely relaxed and comfortable, so it has gradually become a favorite way of travel experience.
As a senior tourism experiencer and tourism product planner, I have had several experiences of traveling by cruise.
The question of which is better, cruise travel, cabin or balcony, seems superficial, but it is actually necessary and meaningful to understand.
Because the eyes of the general public should be like choosing a house, they will think that the room with balcony has sufficient light and good sunshine vision without thinking, so such a room type should be in demand, but it cannot be ignored that compared with other rooms, the price of balcony room is also the most expensive, and so is the balcony room of cruise ship.
Compared with the inner cabin, the price of balcony room is much higher.
For cruise travel, rooms with balconies have a good view and more room for activities, so if economic conditions permit, balcony rooms can of course be preferred.
However, because the cruise ship is sailing at sea, it will inevitably be bumpy due to the influence of wind and waves. If you are in poor health and are prone to carsickness and seasickness, it is better to choose the inner cabin to avoid the psychological tension and trouble caused by seeing too clearly.
Moreover, many floors of the cruise ship have enough open space to walk around, not very local tyrants, and deliberately choosing a balcony room is actually of little significance.
For the passengers who take the cruise for the first time, there will be some confusion when booking the space of the cruise.
Because the cabin type of a large cruise ship is much more complicated than the seat type on the plane, the location, area, facilities, functions and treatment of different cabins are very different, and the prices are also very different, which makes many people who come into contact with the cruise ship for the first time very confused.
If roughly divided, the cabin types of cruise ships can be roughly divided into four categories: inner cabin, sea view room, balcony room and suite. Of course, each type can also derive subdivided categories.
Large cruise ships are very wide, so many cabins are located in the core of the cruise ship and there are no windows. This room with no windows and closed doors is like a closed box, which we call the inner cabin.
It is also the cheapest in all cabins of the cruise ship. Its advantage is quiet and no external interference. The disadvantage is that it feels boring (in fact, luxury cruise ships have very advanced circulating ventilation systems).
Some cruise ships will install a mirror in the shape of a window, which will make people feel better.
Because there are many interesting activities on the cruise ship, that is, going back to your room to rest and sleep at night when you are tired of playing, the inner cabin is especially suitable for young people with limited budget and energy.
The inner cabin of Royal Caribbean Company "quantum of the seas" is equipped with an 80-inch floor-standing LED screen, which plays the real-time sea view from the outer cabin of the ship, so it is called "virtual sea view room", which is the best inner cabin for riding.
A cabin with a window that can see the sea is called a sea view room. This kind of room feels better than the inner cabin. In fact, modern cruise ships have balconies as long as they are cabins facing the sea above the deck. It can be inferred that the so-called "sea view room" is generally located under the deck with lower floors.
This is close to the sea level, and even the waves will hit the window when encountering strong winds and waves. So the windows of the sea view room are sealed and can't be opened. In addition, the low floor means that the engine room near the bottom of the ship will have relatively greater noise and vibration.
The most popular room on a cruise ship is the balcony room. Modern cruise ships have the largest proportion of balcony rooms. The area is similar to that of an ordinary cabin or sea view room, but there is an extra balcony facing the sea.
You can get out of the room and get close to the blue sky and ocean, especially suitable for couples who travel by cruise for the first time and pursue romantic feelings. Of course the price will be slightly higher.
Insert two sentences here:
1) Balcony rooms with low floors may be blocked by the landscape (there are lifeboats outside the balcony), and the feeling will be worse.
2) In winter, when the cold wind blows, the balcony becomes a chicken rib. People prefer to hide in warm cabins, and few people will go to the upper terrace to blow the biting sea breeze.
Some cruise ships will take some larger and more spacious balcony rooms in mini suites, which are several square meters more than ordinary balcony rooms, and there will be relatively independent leisure areas such as sofas and desks. The price is a little more expensive than the balcony room, and the cost performance is good.
The superior suite is almost as big as two balcony rooms. In addition to the bedroom and spacious bathroom, there is a separate meeting and dining area.
When staying in this suite, you will enjoy special courtesy, priority boarding, dining and entertainment, and some exclusive privileges on the cruise ship. The price is relatively high, suitable for those rich tourists who pursue a sense of Excellence.
There are also a few top suites on each cruise ship, such as the Royal Suite of Royal Caribbean Company.
The picture above shows the royal duplex double-decker suite in Ocean Quantum, with two floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious private terrace. It is more suitable for passengers who are not short of money and travel with their families.
Having said that, both the inner cabin and balcony room on a cruise ship have their own advantages and disadvantages. Everyone can choose freely according to their actual needs and budget.
