Xianda College of Economics and Humanities of Shanghai International Studies University is the first batch of full-time undergraduate independent colleges in Shanghai approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004. Co-organized by Shanghai International Studies University and Shanghai Xianda Investment Co., Ltd., the school has two campuses, Hongkou and Chongming. Hongkou Campus is located in the northeast of the city, adjacent to Shanghai International Studies University. Chongming Campus is located in Chenjia Town, Chongming District. The beautiful architecture in Tuscan style complements the unique ecological environment.

Relying on the strong teaching staff of Shanghai International Studies University and its advantages in foreign language teaching and scientific research, the school has established a discipline and specialty system with language and economy as the mainstay and coordinated development of other disciplines (major+English).
