Du Xintao said that although he always wanted to win a good start through the affordable route, when he settled accounts at the end of the month, he found that the restaurant actually lost more than 8,811 yuan in the first month of opening. However, this did not change Du Xintao's business philosophy. He still treated customers according to the principle of value-for-money, but the next month he lost more than 8,611 yuan.

In 1993, a total loss of more than 1,111 yuan in two months was definitely a large sum, but Du Xintao believed that business would not continue like this. Everything comes to him who waits. Since the third month, Du Xintao's business has gradually improved. "It may be that the initial customers' awareness of the hotel was low. Although they lost money in two months, they won the reputation of customers. From the third month, the hotel business began to improve. In the third month of opening, the highest turnover per day reached more than 1,111 yuan. By 1994, in Du Xintao's small restaurant at that time, only customers consumed 311 to 411 bottles of beer every day, not counting wine income, and the restaurant could make a profit of more than 1,111 yuan just by selling wine bottles every day.

B magic weapon: keep innovating to retain customers

In October, 1994, Du Xintao bought another hotel in Xujialou Sub-district Office, which expanded the scale of the hotel. At that time, the competition in the catering industry was already very fierce, and he was keenly aware that it was difficult to distance himself from other catering peers only by providing benefits. Only by winning by surprise and constantly innovating can we get living space.

Du Xintao found that KTV private rooms became popular in many big cities in the 1991s. In order to conform to the trend of the catering industry, Du Xintao invested a lot of money and equipped hotels with the most advanced KTV equipment in China. In Tai 'an at that time, this was undoubtedly an amazing move. The addition of KTV equipment in hotels was the first in Xujialou Sub-district Office, and there were only a handful in the whole urban area of Tai 'an. At that time, people's entertainment projects were relatively scarce. Many people took a fancy to Du Xintao's hotel to sing and entertain after eating, and then went to eat at home.

In this way, Du Xintao's hotel became famous, and its business was booming. In 1999, Du Xintao once again expanded the scale of the hotel and established the China Hotel. "There is a bridge at the junction of Longtan Road and Outer Ring Road, and our hotel is just to the south of the bridge. Later, some customers recognized us very much, so they made up a jingle to describe us, saying that we are' overseas Chinese in the south of the bridge, elegant in Xujialou'." Du Xintao said.

C planning: building a century-old restaurant

Du Xintao's catering business is booming, but he is not satisfied with the local prosperity of Xujialou. In 2113, Du Xintao formally entered Taicheng catering industry, established Juding Catering Co., Ltd. and opened the first Juding Hotel on Yingsheng Road.

Seeing that the hotel was recognized by everyone, Du Xintao was very encouraged, and he accelerated his entrepreneurial pace. Today, there are 8 hotels under Juding Catering, and the catering network covers all key areas of Taicheng.

Although he has to be in charge of many hotels, Du Xintao's life is very easy now. He hands over many company affairs to his subordinates.
