This summer, our geography research study group's research study topic is "the urbanization process of Jiaonan City". To this end, our geography group worked in groups to collect and organize relevant information.

First of all, we learned from Jiaonan Municipal Government Online that in 2008, the city's GDP was 43.963 billion yuan, an increase of 13.2% over the previous year, of which the added value of the primary industry was 3.54 billion yuan, an increase of 0.8%; the added value of the secondary industry was 25.831 billion yuan, an increase of 14%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 14.592 billion yuan, an increase of 14.6%; the ratio of primary, secondary and tertiary industries was 8.4%; and the added value of the primary and tertiary industries was 14.6%. The ratio of primary, secondary and tertiary industries was 8.05:58.76:33.19. The general budget revenue of local finance was 2.35 billion yuan, up 14.3%. The per capita net income of farmers is 8,382 yuan, an increase of 13.69%; the per capita disposable income of urban residents is 17,416 yuan, an increase of 14.16%. The investment in fixed assets of the whole society amounted to 24.18 billion yuan, an increase of 18.7%. The basic competitiveness of the county economy jumped to the 20th place among the top 100 counties (cities) in China. This shows that the city's economic development trend is good.

Secondly, my team members learned from the Jiaonan information network, from 1991 to 2001, the population of the city of Jiaonan from 80,000 people to 200,000 people, the urban area from 10 square kilometers to 29 square kilometers, and successively across the "Shandong Province, the first batch of garden city", "National advanced city of gardening and greening", "China's excellent tourist city". In this fast-changing 10 years, Jiaonan successfully realized from the rural county to the modernization of the medium seaside city of the leap, become a suburb of Qingdao rural urbanization of this historical scroll in the colorful page. We have come to the conclusion that there is no beautiful city without a strong industry.

In the course of our research, we also studied the industrial development of Jiaonan. The study shows that the formation and development of cities is an accompaniment of industrialization. Every footprint of the rural urbanization process in Jiaonan corresponds to the hurried steps of the city's industrialization.

Before 1990, the county economy of Jiaonan City was basically based on agriculture, and in 1990, the share of agricultural value added in GDP was still close to 50%. With the rapid advancement of industrialization and urbanization in the rural areas of Qingdao suburbs, the development mode of this agricultural economy and the requirements of urbanization showed a huge gap between the slow development of secondary and tertiary industries, a large number of rural surplus labor force has nowhere to transfer, local finances are stretched to the limit, and the serious lack of investment in infrastructure construction. In order to reverse this situation, Jiaonan City put forward the "three" that is, agricultural industrialization, the city's industrialization, rural urbanization development strategy. They believe that the "three" in which industrialization is the core, only to achieve industrialization, urbanization has the basis and conditions, agricultural industrialization will have support. Through efforts, Jiaonan City, the rapid expansion of the scale of the industrial economy, excellent and strong industrial pattern began to take shape, the initial cultivation of machinery, rubber, paper, chemicals, building materials, food and beverage, shipbuilding, automotive and other eight major industries, the city has 43 enterprises across the ranks of the national large and medium-sized enterprises, there are 30 enterprises with an annual sales income of more than 100 million yuan, there are three enterprises into the Qingdao County economy Three enterprises entered the "Top Ten" of Qingdao County Economy. By 2000, the proportion of industry in GDP had reached 49.8 percent. We know that once the dominant position of industry in the national economy is established, urbanization will have a strong support and power. First of all, the infrastructure and town construction has a source of funds. 2000 started construction of "a road, a city, a river, a garden, a forest" that is, "five one" project, all the future of the city's new highlights. Secondly, with the increasing level of regional industrialization, the town provides more and more space for employment, and the proportion of non-agricultural employment is rapidly increasing. Since 1996, although the natural population growth rate of Jiaonan City has been maintained at between six and three thousandths of a percent, the agricultural population has been decreasing at a rate of 10,000 per year, most of which has been transferred to the cities. In the countryside engaged in township enterprises and related industries is more than 300,000, accounting for more than 70% of the rural labor force.

And, in the process of urban construction and development in Jiaonan, there is always an invisible hand, which clears the obstacles in people's concepts, but also from the capital, land and other aspects of the constraints. This invisible hand is "the means of market operation."

The municipal government by leveraging the development of Jiaonan's urban infrastructure construction stepped into the fast lane of capital operation.

April 2000, Jiaonan City, for the first time on the urban area of unused land use rights trial auction, 9.9 acres of sleepy land in the gavel to the ground in the moment for 6.8 million yuan. In this way, the city raised 32.45 million yuan of construction funds last year.

Won the "national small town construction demonstration town" title of the hidden beads of the town, the built-up area of 5 square kilometers, the initial display of the "countryside city" style. Only in 2000, the town for small town construction funds amounted to 99.65 million yuan, of which the government invested only 12 million yuan, accounting for only 12.1%, the vast majority of the rest of the funds from the community.

In recent years, the city of Jiaonan in the urbanization of the construction of more than one billion yuan of funds invested in social and foreign investment accounted for more than 80%. The small amount of money invested by the government has played the role of a brick to attract jade. The land within the urban planning area, the implementation of the government monopoly of the primary land market, liberalization and activation of the secondary land market, the flexible use of market means, revitalization of land stock. At the same time, they are through the auction of infrastructure operating rights, investment and other ways to establish a government, collective, individual, domestic and foreign capital together on the diversified investment and financing mechanisms. They also use market means, and actively promote the reform of the housing system, in 1998 introduced the "on the development and construction of economical housing opinions. Just a few days time, nearly 300 million construction funds are all in place, the government did not invest a penny, built a new residential area of more than 600,000 square meters. Private funds activated, foreign funds are not willing to lag behind. Hong Kong Weilun company optimistic about the development potential of the new city in eastern Jiaonan, once invested a huge investment of 10 million U.S. dollars, a construction area of 120,000 square meters, a set of trade, finance, culture, leisure, entertainment, food and beverage, warehousing in one of the large-scale modernized shopping malls --- Weilun! Plaza, showing the world the endless charm of this place.

But the city government has not forgotten to serve the people while emphasizing economic development.

Upstairs and downstairs, electric lights and telephones, once the dream of many generations in the countryside, have finally become a reality today. "People-oriented, benefit the people", this is the city of Jiaonan ten years of urban construction history has always followed the principle.

Last April, Jiaonan City, a phase of the development of Seaside Industrial Park, occupying the Zhuhai Street Office of the village of more than 2,000 acres of land, in order to resettle the village of surplus labor, the city in the village adjacent to the Chengnan Agricultural Wholesale Market, the planning and construction of a 200,000 square meters, which can accommodate 500 households operating in a comprehensive business building, eliminating the masses of the worries of the people to solve the problems of the villagers into residents!

"Never let the urbanization conditions of farmers into jobless hobo", Jiaonan City, in the process of urbanization and development, the transfer of the rural labor force digestion in the first place.
